UPM’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in collaboration with the Perak State Parks Corporation, organized the Wildlife Vetpil Knowledge Transfer Programme recently on March 9th, 2022.
The programme is a knowledge sharing exercise between academia and wildlife stakeholders, focusing on the results of research that had been carried out on zoonosis contracted from wildlife, wildlife extinction, and conservation.
The Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Omar and the Director of Perak State Parks Corporation, Mr Mohamed Shah Redza Hussein were in attendance.
Apart from knowledge sharing, bilateral discussions between the Perak State Parks Corporation and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to foster cooperation to conserve wildlife was held and both parties were keen to further strengthen the cooperation to protect and conserve wildlife, especially those residing in the Royal Belum State Park, Perak
