In May, Perak State Park Corporation together with Tourism Perak, Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Perak and ADUN Temenggor had organized a program called “Royal Belum Eco Challenge 2016”. It was held on 21st of May until 23rd of May 2016. This 3 days program was officiated by YB Puan Salbiah bin Mohamed, ADUN Temenggor. In attendance, were Puan Noor Asmah binti Mohd Nawawi, vice manager and vice chairman of PTNPk and En. Mohamad Hizaz bin Mohamad, office director of Ministry of Tourism and Culture Perak (MOTAC). There were 38 participants who joined in this huge and exciting “Royal Belum Eco Challenge 2016” program
Mainly, the objectives of this program are to promote Royal Belum following the ‘Visit Perak 2017’, to introduce Royal Belum as one of the Perak tourist attractions, to make Royal Belum State Park as a water and extreme sports centre, to diversify the tourism activity in Royal Belum, to show the beauty of biodiversity in Royal Belum, to make the visitor/tourist acknowledge about the importance of conservation in environment, to enhance the attractiveness of our country as a main tourist destination and to create a good teamwork between NGO and Government Department.
“Royal Belum Eco Challenge 2016” is also a project that can help in promoting Royal Belum State Park as one of the famous tourism destination with beautiful scenery, environment, and the exciting flora and fauna. Next, it also can build awareness and provide experience and knowledge to the visitor/tourist about the importance of conservation in environment. Lastly, in other perspective, this program also can make Tasik Temenggor get to be known as a new location for water sport and extreme sports activities. |
